ADRC was formed in 1982
We are primarily a road running club but we also compete in cross country and fell racing events.
The club is for runners of all abilities male or female from novice joggers to international marathon runners.
Members meet each Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings at 7pm throughout the year at the Norton Parish Council Pavilion on Ryecroft Road, Norton. Training runs are arranged on the night to cater for all abilities and distances. Changing facilities and showers are available.
As we do not have access to track facilities we cannot unfortunately cater for young children as most of our training is on public roads and parks.
The club puts on 3 races each year the Norton 9, Askern 10k and Askern 10 Mile attracting hundreds of runners from around the country.
As a club we take part in the South Yorkshire Road and the South Yorkshire Cross Country Leagues each year.
The club also organise a trip abroad to a race which is enjoyed by both runners and non-runners members.
