I am on my last legs….I feel like father of the bride, before wedding.
I just need Bertie Boys food order for Sunday…..ASAP, he is the only person I don’t have down (for food)
does anyone have any contact details for him that they can email to me ?
Forrest Lodge have asked for £10 per person deposit so I will be paying £490 from my own pocket tonight and doing bank transfer. I won’t be there for meal Sunday as I have to work, can I ask you all pay ensure you pay deposit money to Club and remaining balance to Forrest Lodge? Please.
I will be moving into a box tomorrow, this trip has broke me, emotionally and financially.
The bus is at capacity with enough room for everyone wanting a lift, that was close!
pick up points are:
Askern Market Place
Carcroft Library (remember that?)
0835 ish Ringways then onto A1
50 on trip (2 maybe’s Keith Bertie and Andy Forsyth).
29 have paid deposit
26 have ordered food.
20 have asked to go on bus. (others have not specified car/bus) of those on bus 8 have said where they would like picking up.
My email is email@example.com my mobile is obtainable (not posting on website but you all know someone who will have it).

Hello everyone, it’s that time of year again. I have been bestowed with my greatest running honour to date, sorting the food at Edwinstowe.
To that end we have agreed to revisit the Forrest Lodge Hotel, 4 Church Street, NG21 9QA, the same venue as last year, on the corner.
I have attached the Christmas Menu (Page 2 on the left, available from 1st December).
I need to know numbers ASAP, this place is booked up, I have secured a 1400hrs booking.
Can you please confirm by email (email@example.com) / Facebook. I need to know who is going by 15th October, so I can confirm the booking.
I need you to think about this…….all you have to do is tell me you want to go (i’m not bothered if you don’t). I also need £5 deposit. It’s Sunday 1st December, check your diaries, make sure no weddings, christenings, visits to Santa, holidays, or other runs are booked.
Please spread the word to ensure those without internet/facebook are included (Collo, basically).
Thanks to Mark The Beast Hinchcliffe see the below crop of photo’s, more available but unable to put them all on here…..
Phil ‘The Virgin’ Tordoff looks good in the supporters photo, just an unfortunate place to stand, although Fez looks to be endorsing Phil’s status.
Collo broke the record for the ‘elitest’ runner to perform Gangnam Style, he also won the award for furthest distance into a marathon to do it…….22 mile….
Stan on his 20th ? London still loving it like it’s his first………..(keeping the Virgin theme I suppose)
Andy gave us the full salute, running for St Johns (as was Nic but Mark was new and didn’t know where to look, he did catch Nic but she was pretty much past us, smiling)
Susie ‘Energizer Bunny’ Warris was just visible over the barrier…….
They all made me sick, as they all clearly enjoyed their marathon experience….smiling and waving and ‘gangnamming’…….I celebrate simply moving my legs in a running fashion……
well done all. The results are out for next year……….who will it be……?????
please forward any agenda items to me and I’ll pass on (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Another quality jaunt onto the continent thanks to Mr Dave Collingwood who arranged things with the third Collinson brother ‘Belgian Dave’. Excellent quiz services provided by Mr Mick Collingwood. We had representatives in all races, the weather was hot, hot, hot, the ‘special beer’ was cold, cold, cold…….results below.

I will keep checking for fun run results and update…
Some went north to Leeds others went south to Sheffield, for what I understand will be the last half to finish in the Don Valley Stadium (Olympic Legacy, pah).
I hear it’s a grind…Steve Pearson on his way back from injury, Mark Hinchcliffe did a Duathlon the day before and Kathie tipped out and did 18 at start of week and got blisters to challenge my nipple rub……Runners are mental…..
The winner clocked 1:06:51
Steve Pearson 1:42:43
Mark Hinchcliffe 1:45:06
Kathie Wordsworth 1:58:53
