2012 Askern 10m Results are in…

Hot off the press are the 2012 Askern 10 Mile Results (would have been hotter but I had a two year old birthday party to attend).

Massive thank you to the marshals as always, these races can only be put on by the volunteers of running clubs – particular thank you to the organisational skills of Fez and the Collingwood twins who do so much behind the scenes.

The weather was OK, could have been better, could have been worse – nothing too troubling out on the course, the worst casualty was our own Mick Aydon right by his house!

The results will also be submitted to John Schofield’s excellent site where there is searching facilities.

Middelkerke. Please.

The annual running trip is in progress, back to the ever popular Oostende / Middelkerke. Early results are in (I assume the presentation ceremony is over, its possibly the only one known longer than an ADRC one):

Men’s 10 Mile – Women’s 10 Mile

Men’s 8km – Women’s 8km

Sadly, the author is not there this year and is no doubt missing his annual steak at Cromwells followed by random beer in the Bottle Bar…

Short course? That’ll be a PB course then…

Some members ran the York Millenium Bridge 5km yesterday. Unfortunately there appeared to be problems on the course and some people ran a short course whilst others did the full. Fortunately our members were smart enough to take the full route (or dumb enough to miss out on an even bigger PB). PB’s by Wayne and Dean proving that hard training pays off…
