Not unexpected news due to the issues our society is facing, but we have taken the unfortunate decision to cancel the Askern 10km in May.
As you can imagine, this was with a heavy heart, particularly as this race has run continuously for over 30 years which we take immense pride in and we have always put on our races for the core of running.
However, it would be irresponsible for us to put it on in May and we are outright cancelling it as there is little hope of resurrecting it this year. Should that change and it becomes possible later in the year we will let you know.
We were considering this decision for a while, but the last 48 hours of government and UKA info has proved it a necessary decision.
BookItZone will process refunds according to their T&Cs but as you could imagine, they have a considerable backlog at the moment. ADRC will receive no money from entries and the club will take a financial hit, but we are solvent and will resume races when safe to do so.
We will wait a while until deciding about the Askern 10mile.
