Due to Covid precautions and UKA guidance please find a summary of the key differences ahead of Sunday’s race. These changes are mainly to avoid crowds of people congregating. We hope you understand the need for changes, we are still being cautious and minimising risk for all.
- Numbers and chips have been posted. If you have not received by race day you can collect from the finishing field marquee.
- Chips are disposable, there will be no collection funnel.
- We are not using the school as race HQ (again, to avoid indoors). There will be portaloos in the car park and start area. There will be no indoor changing facilities.
- We are not having a prize giving in the school, we will hand and/or post prizes out.
- Once finished and t-shirt collected, please disperse from the finish.
- Water stations are at approx. 4mile, 6mile and finish. Water is sealed, sports cap bottles (UKA guidance). Please dispose of appropriately, we do not want to litter the verges on route.
- Please respect other people’s and marshal’s space.
- If you feel unwell in any way, do not attend.
Parking is the usual field opposite the infants and junior schools: DN6 9DG. Please DO NOT park on the roads in the village as it contains bus routes. We have amended the entrance and placed matting to avoid difficulties.
Race starts 1000. This is the traditional start time, last summer was an exception.
Most of all, have fun, stay safe.
