Agenda and voting issues for 2020/21 – AGM date is Sunday 29th March online on the Whats-ADRC forum 8-10pm.
- Election of committee members: Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Captains, Membership Secretary, Media and Communications Secretary, Committee Members. We are keen to get more members on the committee and even make formal positions to distribute duties more evenly: Social Secretary, Race Director, Fixtures Secretary…
- End of financial year accounting report: Do we have a money in the bank and how is it being spent?
- Memberships fees: proposal is new members £35 to include vest and £20 for existing members (£15 goes to UKA). Payment expected by the end of April.
- Social Membership: It is a goal to register all of those involved in the club who are not running (competitively) as social members. This serves to recognise their contribution to the club. Membership is £10 annually and is waived should a member marshal a race.
- Membership information and GDPR: During 2020 it is important we have members’ full information on (UKA) record. UKA will now be sending out annual memberships by email. Do any members object to mentions or photos in club publications?
- Race marshalling: Discuss a mechanism to pre-register and make the committee’s lives easier!
- Pre-Christmas club race and dinner destination: Have a think where you want to go. We do have someone on this already, but is likely to be something more firmly organised by the end of August.
- Post-Christmas party venue: Much the same as above, but chuck in some venues for us to look at.
- Club races and entries for SYRL and SYXCL: Members can elect if sufficient interest, in nominating races as a club run. Also, how should we manage paid entries to the county championships (ie non-attendance)?
- Summer running festival trip: Belgium is hopefully still on and we are accepting deposits. Should it be cancelled do we refund members?
- Coaching: It would be marvellous for two regular members to be sent on formal coaching courses (or a revision of previous courses) to provide support for new and upcoming members.
- Junior Members: There is not a formal junior membership because we are primarily road runners, but would it be helpful to register members’ children? There are a number of off-road and XC races that have junior entrants; thinking about prospective senior members.
- ParkRuns: Many ADRC members are active on Saturday mornings; we would like to arrange regular meets at designated venues, perhaps starting every three months.
- Litter Pick: Our first litter pick was a huge success. We would like to repeat this as the days lengthen. Naturally, current circumstances don’t make this viable, but is something we should look forward to again.
- Any other business.
