2014 Norton 9 Results

The results from both the main race and fun run are here: 2014 Norton 9 Mile Results

Thanks to everyone for entering and the marshals / administrators who enable this race to be run cheaply for the benefit of all.

Conditions were a little tricky but hopefully not too bad. The overall race winner entered on the day so wasn’t eligible for a prize! Always try to pre-enter to save yourself time and £2 on the day.

Hopefully see you all next year.

Askern 10mile – Important Update

We have been notified of a large abnormal load travelling from Goole Docks to Thorpe Marsh Power Station on Sunday morning.

It is scheduled to leave Goole @ 8.00 am travelling at 12mph via the M62 & A19 through Askern at around 10.30 am. This is likely to cause large tailbacks for anyone using the M62/A19 route to the Askern 10M race.

Please either set off early or use the A1 leaving at the A639 Pontefract junction, following the signs to Askern, via Campsall & Sutton. It also may be necessary to delay the start of the race depending on the progress of the offending convoy. We will do our best to ensure that we keep any disruption to a minimum but please appreciate that things our very much out of our hands.

Can all ADRC runners please be aware we must fulfil our Marshalling positions, safety on the course is paramount.  If you would like to run please bring someone along with you who can Marshall but there should be no expectation that you can automatically run.  Every effort will be made to accommodate those wanting to run.
