A few ADRC heroes made it to the 2020 Northern XC champs on 25th January. The forecast had been excellent all week, almost no rain…a lovely country run expected… It was in sections, other sections had grass replaced with what can be described as a chocolate gateau covering. Not wet, but a perfectly blended consistency that tested the thighs more than was anticipated that day. Add a backpack, sheep’s wool tweed uniform and a weapon and we would have been extras in the latest film 1917. One woman crossed the line with a shoe in each hand… Well done to New Marshall who completed his first and apparently last XC race ever! Special mention to Sophie Bradbury, XC Ladies Captain and first over the line for ADRC.
