Time Trial February 2020

The second glorious TT of the new decade and three laps of the Winter Course. A fabulous turnout on a cool cloudless night with a slight breeze. Our regular time keeper did rudely interrupt the group’s social chatter and called Start! to everyone’s surprise…I’ll allow a two second deduction from everyone’s time! As well as the prescribed route, some runners did seem to scatter and do their own thing…

Some decent runs, some PBs and a stubbed toe reported for the evening’s event. One more Winter course in March before we’re back in April and the open country side.

The Collo Report:

TORDOFF IS BACK!!!

Who cares that Lee won the TT on his debut and never mind who ran what time and how many PBs were out there this evening, the big news of the night is that Phil is back and hopefully enjoying a TT evening for what it is. I was so impressed I stayed in the changing room on the bike, so not as to be too emotional. Great stuff pal and lets hope for a long injury free period for you.

Andy Pidcock dropped out after 1 lap, having picked up an injury, which I’m glad to see was short lived and didn’t halt his Wombwell 5 mile race.

There were some excellent runs with both Jody and Gemma taking chunks off their respective previous bests.

Well done everyone, hopefully the light nights are coming and the storms will blow themselves away. Cheers to the timekeepers and Fez for the goodies. Winner of the raffle was?????????????? I’ve forgotten.

P Collo, next Time Trial is 5/3/2020.

PS, please endeavour to be at the Norton 9 on 1/3/2020. Your club needs you.

Thanks
