There were some excellent performances on show this evening and what a way to bed in the new tarmac alongCampsall Balk. It would seem that some of you plumped for slicks rather than clodhopper sneekers and were clearly gliding around the 3 lapper.

Star performer was Thalia with a fantastic, evenly timedPB. Well done to you and keep up the good work, it’s obviously paying off.

Phyllis Tordoff (I’ll give you Colly) also ran very well on the night, another afferlete gaining some reward for hissolid block of training.

Declan was rather swift, especially after a 9 miler earlier in the day, bravo young man.

Thanks go to Chrissie and Ashley for the snap theyarranged and to Fez for providing the gear as always. Big thankyou to Steve G for doing an excellent job on the time keeping side of the operation.

It seems a huge shame not to be rallying the troops for the Norton 9, which was scheduled for this Sunday, but cancelled it is. Huge amounts of hard work by the committee have unfortunately been met by a brick wall. As we know, walls can become un-stable and such barriers broken down. The committee continues to work very hard where the staging of races is concerned (and in other areas) and I for one am confident of more positive news in the future. We all need to fully support them now and at every turn.

Thanks to you ALL.

See you next month
