Very swish springs to mind when a sub 27-minute clocking is on view. Brilliant run by Tim on the night. Andy was as brave as a bull going off with Tim. They’ll be wanting starting blocks next.
Mr. Ward and my-self enjoyed this spectacular opening for approximately 20 seconds and then had to settle for each other’s company for the next 40 mins. This too was a spectacular display, only this time it was one of total one upmanship on knee problems, tooing a frowing between operations, physio’s, strappings etc. A conversation that I hope no-one else ever has to engage in.

Sometimes you just have to start the report of an elite event like the ADRC Time Trial right at the very top spot. So well done to Tim for a fabulous run. Dipping under 9 minutes each lap is a tough old ask, especially in the creepy darkness. Keep up the good work.
2nd went to Andy who is showing some great signs of even paced running, which all bodes well for his marathon at the end of the month. Good luck with that too.
3rd counter was Jody, who is making steady progress post injury, which is always good to see.
4th and 5th finished holding hands, clearly frightened of the dark.
6th, 7th and 8th all completed 2 Laps and I’m sure will be eyeing up a 3rd lap next month. Well done chaps.
8th was Danj who chucked a lap into his own training night mix, clearly struggling with the fact his youngest offspring was having his last night pre-teens. Happy Birthday to Lewis.
Thanks to our youthful timekeepers Chrissie, Clara and Bert. An excellent job done and some fantastic doodles on the result sheet. One slight amendment was needed though, I thought it best that the date was October and not September (silly Bert).
