2016 Askern 10 Mile Entries List

Thanks for all those who have pre-entered.

As you know we are changing to chip timing this year and it is collect both number and returnable chip on the day. If you entered via post you should have already received confirmation with your number written on, if online shortly you should receive an email confirming.

It’d be most helpful if you ask for your number/chip by number as that’ll help us be speedy – we can do it by name but will require looking up first.

A copy of the pre-entries ordered by Name is here 2016 Askern 10 Mile Pre Entries by Name or ordered by Number here 2016 Askern 10 Mile Pre Entries by Number

Hope the weather is kind Sunday for you…

Askern 10km Entries Open

Note: We are not taking entries on the day, ONLY pre-entries for 2016. Entries will close 11th May or sooner if the 700 race limit is reached.

UPDATE 27th April: We are FULL. Sorry you have missed your place in Askern 10km 2016. Again we will not be accepting entries on the day.

We had over 300 on the night in 2015 and as as a result had to delay the race which is unsatisfactory for everyone. We hope you understand. The benefit is pre-entries are cheaper!

Norton 9 Marshals

First Sunday of March is looming; as always marshals are required and all help is appreciated. Its these events that allow our club to operate at almost zero cost (certainly this year) to its members.

Its the usual 0900 meet at the school. I don’t know who is coordinating marshals but will post when I do.

Thanks in advance.

P.

2015 Askern 10km Provisional Results

Update 1: There was a (pretty) glitch with the on-line published results. Its was rectified 30mins after the first results were posted. Apologies.

Update 2: A brilliant effort by Martin James of Doncaster AC, free race photos for all! Thanks Martin… Race Photos

Incredible amount of runners tonight, nearly 800 finishers with 300 entering on the night. Whilst we hugely appreciate the fabulous attendance of this race it will help you and us in the future to pre-enter – its also cheaper for you!

As a result of the high volume, unfortunately the race had to be pushed back 15 minutes which we hope wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. The peak of runners entering at 1830 was too much to guarantee being processed before 1900. As it turns out we were just about done with a minute to go but to be fair to all we had to make the call earlier…

Anyway, you’re probably only here for the results so here they are: 2015 Askern 10km Results v5

Well done to all the winners of categories and teams, but also well done to all for putting yourself on the line tonight instead of watching Corro/Emmerdale/Eastenders…

Thank you to all, marshals, organisers, hosts and runners. This was the 30th running of this event, let’s hope for 30 more…

Phil.
