Just like any other Jane Tomlinson event i have ever run in, the Sheffield half marathon seems to have the entire community buzzing.
even the fact it was mothers day and the clocks had just gone forward didn’t seem to lower anyones spirit
I along with around 4500 other people congregated the city centre on a warm dry spring morning in anticipation for a good but tough race. with 5.5 miles of almost constant elevation from the start, the inevitable downhill doesn’t seem to bring any relief.
The spectators that line the entire route are inspiring and if you enjoy a challenge, city centre hospitality and great views of the peaks this race is for you.
Good organised race with plenty of water stops and lots of support.
