Yorkshireman Half(ish) Marathon 2020

Well done to Keighley and Craven Athletics Club for keeping this race alive despite the restrictions. They host the Yorkshireman full and half(ish) marathons on the second Sunday in September each year. The ‘half’ marathon is 14.7 miles with 533m of ascent. It’s a fantastic route and one of my favourites. The weather was favourable if a little windy. The marathoners set off earlier that morning and I didn’t see any of them at all along the first common eight mile section of the race.

Setting off in groups of six every three minutes at Haworth Bronte car park from 10am. I had the first slot. After a few minutes I had an entirely solo run to the finish. Making it to the cobbles in Haworth in just under 2 hours…that sub-2 hour finish will come one day!

Thank you to the marshals and organisers. See you next year…in the car park again! Results
